Though parasols are often considered a more feminine accessory in this day and age, they were used quite extensively by both men and women through history. Royalty, military leaders, and generally anyone who wanted to get the sun off of them could be found with a parasol at one point. However, the idea of shielding yourself from the sun became a more feminine quality for some reason, so men dropped them in favor of hats and sunburns. Japan has recently taken to making parasols for men fashionable again, but for now it looks like Lady Visceral may have an edge when it comes to making parasols look good.
